The Albacore was designed to replace another Fairey design, the Swordfish, and for a critical period, it acted as an important stopgap, providing the Fleet Air Arm with an effective operational aircraft until the later, more modern types arrived. By 1942, there were 15 Fleet Air Arm squadrons equipped with Albacores including some shore-based units in North Africa.

This newly upgraded 3-piece set actually includes 2 different models - one standard configuration model and two models with a tiny torpedo hanging below the fuselage These new models feature more accurately scaled wing struts and undercarriage than our first attempt launched seven years ago.

While the surfaces are not perfectly smooth (3D printing is done in layers), the plastic used can be sanded and painted much the same way you would handle resin or styrene.
