1/700 Heinkel He 115 Float Plane (x2)
[He115-700]

The He 115 series of float plane aircraft was regarded by many as the finest such aircraft of World War II. She served in a variety of offensive and defensive roles, notably attacking enemy shipping, performing reconnaissance and mine-laying in the North Sea. During the German invasion of Norway, He 115s were actually being used in combat roles by both Germany and Norway! Perhaps the He 115 is best remembered for its role as a torpedo bomber against the Allied convoys in the Arctic shipping lanes where, in combination with Luftwaffe bomber aircraft, they exacted a terrible toll. While the design of the He 115 dated back to 1936 with production ending in 1941, such was the versatility of this venerable aircraft that production actually recommenced in 1943!

The set offered here includes two 'full float' models. While photography of these little gems is a challenge for our equipment and limited skills, check out the well proportioned model including the slender fuselage with the large greenhouse canopy and glazed nose; the elegant wings with engine nacelles and those long pontoon floats.

Although the surfaces are not perfectly smooth (3D printing is done in layers), the plastic used can be sanded and painted much the same way you would handle resin or styrene.

NOTE: While we currently maintain limited inventories of most items, some items may be "printed on demand", which usually requires 10-15 business days from order to shipment.
