1/700 Junkers Ju 87R Stuka (x4)
[Ju87r-700]

The Ju 87 Stuka was the flying embodiment of the Wehrmacht's Blitzkreig onslaught and the might of the all-conquering Luftwaffe during the early months of the Second World War. It could quite easily be described as the first modern 'terror weapon', designed specifically to instill fear and confusion into both enemy troops and the population in general. The Stuka provided precision strike support for advancing German troops, diving almost vertically onto its target, using a wailing siren to spread panic and confusion below. First used in combat during the Spanish Civil War, the Luftwaffe had 336 Ju 87Bs on hand when the invasion of Poland began in September 1939. The Ju 87R was a modification of the Ju 87B that incorporated two 300 litre (79 US gal) drop tanks that allowed the greater range required for the anti-shipping role in the Mediterranean.

While photography of these little gems is a challenge for our equipment and limited skills, check out the well proportioned model including the fuselage with greenhouse canopy, engine exhaust stubs and tail assembly (complete with a tiny tail wheel); the distinctive inverted gull wings with dive brakes, bomb load, drop tanks and fixed spatted undercarriage.

Although the surfaces are not perfectly smooth (3D printing is done in layers), the plastic used can be sanded and painted much the same way you would handle resin or styrene. The models may still have some powder and oil-like agent on them that needs to be removed by washing in warm water with a drop of detergent in it.

NOTE: We currently maintain limited inventories of most items but some may have to be "printed on demand", which usually requires 10-15 business days from order to shipment.
