This set is appropriate for 1/400 scale models of German battleships and cruisers of WW2 and many battleships and battlecruisers of the WW1 era. The armored ships (later classed as heavy cruisers) Deutschland, Scheer and Graf Spee had slightly different rails which are available on set 4030. German ships would lay the forward and aft sections of the main deck railing down on the deck during surface actions.
